Greetings from the International College (IC) at Tunghai! The IC features English-taught Bachelor of Science degrees in International Business Administration (IBA) and Sustainability Science and Engineering (SSE)(see attached file for more details).  All of the classes in the IC are taught in English and about a quarter of degree-seeking students are international students from outside of Taiwan.  The IBA is well established and attracts some of the best students in Taiwan.  Our SSE program is the first of its kind in Taiwan and attaches good international students,but we are having problems attaching good domestic students.  To attract better students from Taiwan, we plan about to offer SSE students who come in via the individual application (個人申請) process a scholarship.  Since we do not have any alumni, it is hard for us to raise scholarship funds. We need help with our scholarship funds.

    We should make the world a better place!  Taiwan is taking bold steps in sustainability with the recent banning of drinking straws,limiting plastic bags, investing in wind power, etc.  It is important to note that one IC student led the campaign to ban plastic drinking straws on campus even before the government’s ban. Sustainability was also one of the themes of the President of Taiwan’s recent visit to diplomatic allies.  Sustainability is something we all should be concerned about and Tunghai is being a leader in Sustainability with our SSE program.  Please help us keep this Pioneering Spirit of Tunghai alive by supporting the IC scholarship fund.
